The neighbors across the road are on vacation. We are keeping an eye on their house, which pretty much means that we walk around it and pick up the free newspapers that litter the front steps. Also, we water the flowers.They have a peach tree in the backyard and yesterday, while watering it, we found some peaches on the ground and couldn't resist taking them for tasting. I'm afraid we also plucked one which wasn't on the ground, but was in grave danger of falling. In essence, we saved it from the certain demise. Meg caught me in action afterward, and emailed me this photo titled "the Peach Thief".
One of the peach tree owners has "finally" read the ever elusive blog concerning the ahem "missing" peaches!!! Did the "peach thief" confess that the neighbour's peaches were the best he has ever had in hopes of more " future thievery without consequences"?, when said owners are once again on vacation in August 2011? Smart thinking indeed!!! On a more serious note, you are more than welcome to pluck even those that are "not in grave danger of falling"! Missed the "peach thief" photographer last night - can't wait for her to come back!!!
